After completing a kitchen renovation for this homeowner back in 2017, we were called upon again to renovate the master bathroom. And, importance was placed on aesthetics, features, and amenities tied to a daily cleansing ritual observed in the Japanese bathing culture. Our clients’ needs included a large soaking tub, large glass-enclosed walk-in shower, and neutral materials with clean lines to create a room that exudes modern luxury while also evoking a sense of calm and relaxation.
The oversized Vanity Art freestanding soaking bathtub features a Pulse floor-mounted tub filler with a built-in diverter and hand-held shower in brushed nickel. The large glass-enclosed shower is lined with Daltile Magnitude Origami White ceramic tile. The floor of the shower includes large 12×24 tiles to match the bathroom floor tile size giving the homeowner fewer grout lines to clean while still having a beautiful tile shower floor. A convenient niche is designed into the shower perfect for holding shampoo bottles and soap. The dual stainless steel shower heads from Delta provide a spa-quality experience.
The vanity is custom-designed with Wellborn Select prairie-style maple cabinets in a coffee stain, and a Cosmos Craven white Quartz countertop. The two Kohler Verdera medicine cabinets are topped with contemporary light fixtures by Home Decorators Collection.
The bathroom floor is finished with a luxurious Florim Basaltine tile in a dark gray, contrasting beautifully with the clean, white walls.
These West Lafayette homeowners love their new tranquil master bathroom which allows them to bathe in luxury, carrying out their essential and beloved tradition.
