The homeowners dreamed of a bright and airy four-season sunroom to bring the outdoors inside and create a relaxing, versatile space. They wanted a design that featured large windows for natural light, durable and attractive finishes, and a seamless connection to their existing home. The addition needed to provide year-round comfort with modern heating and cooling, while also including a patio area to extend their outdoor living options.
The new four-season sunroom addition was thoughtfully designed to meet the homeowners' needs for comfort and style. The space features tall double-hung windows with grid detailing on the upper panes, providing ample natural light and a perfect perch for houseplants. A beadboard ceiling, painted a soft blue, adds charm and visual interest, while durable luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring in a warm oak tone offers long-lasting beauty and practicality.
The walls were finished with painted drywall in a neutral shade to complement the flooring and ceiling. White trim around the windows and doors enhances the bright and inviting atmosphere. French doors were installed to create an elegant transition between the sunroom and the rest of the home, while double-hinged exterior doors provide easy access to the backyard and patio area.
A mini-split heating and cooling system was integrated to ensure year-round comfort, and additional electrical features were added, including a ceiling fan with a light fixture, outlets, and exterior floodlights. Outside, a new concrete patio extends the living space, offering a convenient area for entertaining or relaxing outdoors. New gutters with guards were also installed to protect the addition and improve drainage.
