In the living room, refinishing the hardwood floors and freshening up the finishes were a priority to create a cohesive and polished flow between the two spaces. The homeowners envisioned a bright, functional kitchen and a refreshed living room perfect for everyday life and entertaining.
To meet the homeowners' needs, the remodel began by reimagining the kitchen layout to improve both storage and usability. Custom cabinets with soft-close features and roll-out trays were installed to maximize organization and efficiency. The island was updated with seating for four, incorporating a sleek electric cooktop and downdraft vent. Durable quartz countertops in a lighter finish were paired with a tile backsplash, creating a timeless and elegant design. The double-bowl stainless steel sink was paired with a modern pull-down faucet, adding style and functionality.
Lighting was upgraded throughout the kitchen, with recessed ceiling lights and under-cabinet lighting to brighten workspaces. A built-in microwave was repositioned for better accessibility, seamlessly blending with the cabinetry for a clean look. The existing hardwood floors in the kitchen were sanded and refinished, restoring their natural warmth and beauty.
In the adjoining living room, the hardwood flooring was also refinished to match the kitchen, creating a seamless connection between the two spaces. Fresh coats of paint and repairs to drywall cracks gave the space a clean and polished look.
